Akari is the main female character of the story. She's been friends with Hiro since primary school and they are very close. She's also in love with Hiro but is yet to tell him. She appears to be happy with the way things are, and often says to herself that she wishes they could be together forever. Although Akari likes Hiro, she doesn't seem to get jealouse of all the girls he seems to make friends with. In fact she even reminds him to go meet them if he forgets and will listen about them. ^^ Overall she's a very sweet girl who worries over others a lot.

Akari realises that Shiho is most likely in love with Hiroyuki and eventually asks about it. But she asked with a smile on her face. As though she wouldn't mind, which must have taken a lot of courage for her. She then admits to Shiho that she loves him. It was the first time she said it. She felt before tha if she said it she would be sheating because then Shiho would back off. Although this girl is so much in love with her childhood friend she still wishes to be fair to other girls who love him. She wants to have him, but not by any means which she thinks may be unfair to anyone else. For a long time she is simply waiting for him to feel that same way about her.

She does, however tell Hiro in a number of ways she she loved him.

"I'm ok as long as I have Hiroyuki-chan"
"When it comes to Hiroyuki-chan I remember everything"
