Hiro is the show's main character. Most of the time he's a rather laid back sort of person. He's also a "nice" guy. In other words he helps people a lot, even if he doesn't know them. Usually he does so quietly and doesn't make much of it.

At times he can show a lack of tact. Akari cut her hair because he said he was tired of her pigtails. He doesn't really talk all that much but when he does he says exactly what's on his mind.

Although Hiroyuki is surrounded by girls he doesn't seem to look at any of them as girlfriend material. Even Akari is looked at as more of a sister than anything else.
